Wco Ann Caretto - Central Erie County

Presque Isle Bay: Action in Horseshoe Pond and Misery Bay seems to have
slowed down. However bluegills and crappie have been hitting at the head of
the bay. Fishing for bass has also been spotty. Seems that on a given
weekend one day is excellant for bass. The next day bass aren't hitting but
rockbass and crappie are. Some Walleye have been taken from the north and
south piers.

Edinboro Lake: At least two fisherman have landed nice sized Musky while
trolling during the last week. The fingers seem to be about fished out of
crapie and bluegill. Shore fisherman have been having limited success
catching 12"+ bass using baits and spinners. Walleye are starting to hit in
the center and northeast side of the lake.
Point of info: for those that like to fish the entire channel of Edinboro
Lake to the outfall, on approximately July 5th construction of the Route 6N
bridge will begin. Both the road and channel will be closed to all traffic.
Construction may last up to three months.
