: Up until last weekend 10-1-00,the fishing has been phenominal.I've fished this area every weekend since the end of June and have caught 16-20" rainbows (in the faster waters)and numerous bass as large as 18".A few walleye were also caught in the 16-18" range.I also caught some decent sized channel cats int the deeper pools.Sheepshead is a fish I'm not too familiar with until a couple of weeks ago. This one had to weigh 8lbs.Looks like a cross between a bass and a carp.Did also catch numerous rockbass and a few shad.On 10-1 the fishing was the worst I've ever seen, only 1 small rainbow(13") and 3 small bass (6-10").The water was the lowest I've seen since coming to the yough some time ago.The reason is the dam has been closed a little longer than usual.Corp now reports that more than usual releases are expected due to constuction at the spillway. This should perk things up for some much better fishing.
