: Now that the weather is heating up a bit, crappie will start to head inshore a little closer. Look for brush piles, or weed beds. If you fly fish, try small white streamers (weighted a bit), and retrieve them in short strips. Otherwise, small to moderate minnows under a bobber will take crappie. : A larger minnow, either under a bobber or drifted could take anything from bass to walleye to stripers. It may seem like the "Dead Sea", but that is because there is so much forge and good cover, that fish don't have to roam far to find a meal, or be very aggressive. But there are some very large fish in there. Good luck to ya! If you want to bass fish this lake get yourself a plastic worm and go shallow. Be careful though a lot of these fish are caught and released lots of times. if you are not careful with the fish you will spoil the fun for everyone. Take only what you intend to eat. |
