Well, we made it. Well, almost. With only about a week of trips left now this will be my final report for this summer and my sign off for this year. And as I've been harping all along, our 40th year of chartering. We've officially made it. There aren't too many captains out here that can say that!

The fishing throughout this entire season has been nothing short of remarkable. I guess that's what has kept us going these last few years. It's just been too good to walk away from! And with that said, yes we're planning on being back again next year for "Just another year on THE TROPHY"!

Things could have been a little better in the weather department this summer but you could say that about every year up here on Erie. I think I've complained enough about that in my last few reports so we'll just leave that at that. Financially, this was a tough one for us. Without everyone's generosity I would probably have no interest in coming back next year. But everybody that had a ball with us this year dug deep at the end of the day and for that I will be forever thankful.

So speaking of being thankful, the biggest thanks goes out to everyone that came out and fished with us to begin with. Without your continued interest and support, there would be no fishing trips, no fishing reports or for that matter no 40th year for me. Your faithful return visits each summer and the fabulous Walleye fishing both is what drives us each year. I thank each and every one of you for your continued patronage and look forward to fishing with all of you again next summer. Till we meet again, I pray that everyone stays safe and healthy. And an extra special prayer goes out to all of my friends that fished with us this year that are already fighting some very serious health concerns. I am glad that at least for one day we could take your mind off of some of these things. So that's it. Year 40 for me is a wrap and in the books. Happy upcoming holidays, stay warm and we'll see everyone again down the road!
