"That's a Beaut" (Clark) Lol! Keeping with the one liners from the Christmas Vacation movie again that's the first thing that I blurted out when Carl landed this 31" incher last week aboard The Trophy. One of the nicer Walleyes that we've landed in quite a while. Although "good eaters" are very plentiful nowadays, true monsters are few and far between anymore. And this was one beautiful fish! I mean, Beaut! Ha!

Fishing continues to be as good as it gets. There are so many Walleyes out there now no matter where you go that it's just plain ridiculous. We had a couple days of stout north winds where I cranked it out to 72 foot of water and put the wind and waves on our tail and just brought it home. With the first rods out, just as fast as we could go! Other days we has stiff southerlies and I started in 30 foot of water and pointed it north. Again, just as fast as we could go! Ridiculous. But in a good way!

So as I mentioned, wind has been a bit of a issue. The last couple of weeks has been a uphill battle almost daily. Including today, Thursday morning where I'm taking advantage of my unplanned day off to write this report a couple days early because there are gale warnings up on the lake. Again, no fishing for anyone. They are starting to add up. And the days that we fished have been challenging to say the least. We had several days of the most confused sea conditions that I have seen in a long time. So hard for everyone to stand. Including me!

I've been meaning to mention this for a while now but I keep forgetting. For this year and in celebration of our 40th year of running full time charters we have some new really cool t-shirts available for purchase. We have them in the Trophy colors, either blue or gray. Both are very sharp and the price is $25 each. I think I have like $22 or $23 bucks in each shirt so it's not like I'm trying to make any money off this merch. When we hit our 30th year we had 30 year shirts available. That lasted us a few years till we finally ran out. Here the last couple years everyone's been hounding us for more souvenir t-shirts. I've been blowing everyone off and telling them, well if we make it to 40 years maybe I'll get something made up. Well, here we are and there you go. BUT, let me the first to tell you... THERE WILL BE NO FRIGGIN 50 YEAR SHIRTS! Lol! Get them while you can!
*We just had a Prime Saturday open up next weekend, Saturday June the 27th is now available for anyone that may be interested!
