Some Nice Walleye 07/05/2012

WALLEYE:

Eleven year old Cody Ahlbrandt of Girard, PA brought in an 11 pound 2 ounce Walleye for Angler Award. It was 32 inches long and had a girth of 17 ½ inches. He caught it out in 57 ft of water off Elk Creek using a Copper worm harness.

Nine year old Deeanna McAtee-Hall brought in 7 pound 1 ounce Walleye for Award. It was 27 ¾ inches long and had a girth of 15 ¾ inches. She was fishing in 75 ft of water Northeast of Walnut Creek. She caught the fish on a Fire Tiger Ronowski.

Eleven year old Dakota Parrett of Girard, PA brought in a 9 pound 10 ounce Walleye for Angler Award, It was 29 ½ inches long and had a girth of 17 ¾ inches. He was out in 53 ft of water East of Walnut Creek. He was using a Watermelon worm harness and a dipsy.

The Walleye seem to be coming along pretty good now. A lot of people are going straight out of Walnut and going either East a little or West a little in 55 - 65 ft of water. Also straight out to the South side of the First Trench. You don't have to go all the way to the Ohio line now.

WEATHER:

The weather has been a usual hit and miss for the lake with the storms. It seems that this time of year there are always storms on the lake but they either dissipate or go another direction (most times). We do have the radar in the office building and that helps except when the internet goes down. So bear with us if any of these things happen.

The weather this weekend is calling for:

Friday: - Southwest winds -10 knots or less - 2 ft or less on the waves.

Saturday: - Northwest Winds 10 knot becoming North at 5-15 knots – waves 1-3 ft.

Sunday: - Northeast winds – 5-15 knots – waves 1-3 ft.
