First Steelhead Picture 10/8/2010

STEELHEAD:

Fifteen year old Alisha Zanath of Aliquippa, Pa brought in an 8 pound 5 ½ ounce Steelhead. It was 26 ¼ inches long and had a girth of 16 inches. She caught it in Elk Creek on a Gold/Red Cleo. It was also her first fish. Dad was really proud of her.

There are others catching fish but shy in front of the camera. The weather has not been co operating with the fisherman this week. We have had rain up till Wednesday and so the creek was high and muddy. Then on Thursday it started laying down and became a good color. Later in the day they started biting.

Most of the fish are being caught up in Walnut Creek above the Manchester Bridge by the Chutes and above.

Not much action down by the lake though.
