Some Nice Sized Steelhead 11/27/09

STEELHEAD:

Cody Kennedy of Shelocta, PA brought in a 12 pound 15 ounce fish for Angler Award. It was 30 ½ inches long and had a girth of 19 inches. He caught it at the mouth of Walnut Creek using Power Bait. The color was called Yellow but he said it was like skin colored.

Robby Liming of Graceton, PA brought his in for Angler Award also. It was 10 pounds 9 ½ ounces, 28 ½ inches long and had a girth of 17 ¾ inches. He caught his also at the mouth of Walnut Creek on Power Bait. His color was Chartreuse.

Jerry Krakowski of Cleveland, Oh brought his fish he caught for Angler Award. It was 11 pounds 7 ounces, 30 inches long and had a girth of 18 inches. He caught it in Elk Creek at Folly’s End on a Fly. Green/White Sucker Spawn.

Robert J Probst Jr. eleven year old or Murrysville, PA caught his First Fish and received Angler Award. It was 7 pound 8 ounces and 27 inches long with a 16 ¼ inch girth. He caught it out by the Old Launch ramp on Walnut Creek on a Clown Jig with a maggot.

Michael Nairns of Coal Township, PA brought in this nice 14 pound 3 ½ ounce Steelhead for Angler Award. It was 30 ½ inches and a 19 ½ girth. He caught it by the Stop Sign hole on a Sucker Spawn. The color was White.

We still need some rain or snow. We have not had much of anything so the creeks are still low and clear. We have had a few drizzle days but it is not enough to bring the fish in or up the creek.
