Some More Nice Sized Fish Coming In 10/23/2009

STEELHEAD:

Ten year old Daniel Planert and thirteen year old Tyler Planert with their dad Charles came in to show off their big fish they caught out trolling in front of Walnut Creek. Daniel’s fish was 8 pounds ½ ounce and was 28 ½ inches long with a girth of 15 ¼ inches. Tyler’s Steelhead was 9 pounds 4 ½ ounces and it was 27 ¾ inches long with a 17 inch girth. They caught six fish altogether on Blue/Silver Cast Master. Dad said that is all he ever uses and it always works. They caught six and lost seven on their trip today.

Jason Sidorick of Ramey, PA brought in his 13 pound 8 ounce Steelhead for Angler Award. It was 31 ½ inches long and had a girth of 19 ¼ inches. He caught it at the Stop sign hole on Walnut Creek using a Fly Nymph.

Jeffrey Woodard of Pittsburgh, Pa brought in this nice looking Steelhead. It was 13 pounds 2 ½ ounces and was 31 ½ inches long with a girth of 19 inches. He caught it in Walnut Creek by the bridge on a minnow.

Don Burk of Erie, Pa brought in his 11 pound 10 ounce Steelhead. It was 30 inches long and had a girth of 18 ¼ inches. He caught it south of the Marina on Walnut Creek using Power bait. His color was Sherbet.

Stefan Bewszka of Pittsburgh, PA brought in his 9 pound 14 ounce Angler Award fish. It was 29 inches long and had a girth of 17 inches. He caught it around the Stop sign hole on Walnut Creek using a Fly Nymph.

MARINA OPENING:

The Marina will be open for fishing on Wednesday, October 28. I will blow the whistle at 1:00 PM.
