Eleven year old Jacob Manley of Frederick MD received an Angler Award for his 8 pound 5 ounce fish. It was 26 ¾ inches long and had a girth of 17 ¾ inches. He caught it fishing off the wall into the Channel at Walnut Creek on egg sack. The water in Walnut Creek is low and clear so fishing has been good but the catching hasn’t been. The lake is riled up with 3-4 ft waves for the past couple days and it is supposed to be that way till Monday. We had the first snow with a little scattering of it this morning but nothing is sticking. Further inland I heard they had up to 3 inches in places. The water temperature is now 55 degrees so it is keeping the snow from sticking .... for now. WALNUT CREEK MARINA: Walnut Creek Marina will not be open until all the docks are out. The boats are to be out on October 25 and then when maintenance gets done taking the docks out of Northeast, and the weather co-operates, they will take the docks out. Only when the time and date is posted can you fish in the marina. I will let you know as soon as I know.
