PERCH: Nine year old Andrew Conard of Pittsburgh (grandson of “The Old Principal”) brought in his Angler Award sized Perch. It was 14 ½ ounces, 13 inches long and had a girth of 8 inches. He caught it out in 58 ft of water straight out of Walnut Creek on a Golden Shiner.
Joan Terrill of Townville, Pa came in with this nice looking Perch. It was 1 lb. 9 ½ oz. It was 14 ½ inches long and had a girth of 10 ¼ inches. She caught it out in 57 ft of water straight out of Walnut Creek on Golden Shiners. The Perch seem to be mostly straight out of Walnut Creek in 55-58 ft of water. If you go out there you can’t miss the pack. Just pull up along the side and anchor.
WALLEYE: William E Grim of Washington, PA came in with two Walleye for Angler Award. The first one was 9 lbs. 6 oz. and it was 30 inches long and had a girth of 18 inches. The second one was 8 lbs. 11 oz. and was 29 inches long with a girth of 17 ½ inches. He caught them out in 70 ft of water West of Walnut Creek on night crawler. Their color was Chartreuse.
Ashley Zalewski from Leechburg, PA brought in this nice Angler Award sized Walleye. She was out with two others and limited on them. This one weighed in at 9 lbs and was 31 inches long with a 17 ¼ inch girth. She caught it out in 70 ft of water close to the Ohio line. It was caught on a Renowsky which was trout colored. They seem to be picking up the Walleye right and left now. Most are still going to the Ohio line but they are coming in this way also. I have heard 35 ft of water off Godfrey and out deeper at Godfrey too. Then I heard out in 68 – 70 ft of water trolling between Trout run and Elk Creek and also out by the line in 72 ft. The weather has been phenomenal this week. We have not had a wave over three feet all week. Most of the time it has been 1 ft. or less. It is supposed to be the same up till Tuesday. The temperatures have averaged in the mid 80’s most days. The water temp is now 75 degrees so that is helping.
