WALLEYE: Leah Bierer of Fairview, PA brought in this nice sized Walleye she caught while Perch fishing. It was 9 pounds 13 ½ ounces, 30 ½ inches long and had a girth of 17 ½ inches. She caught it out in 48 ft of water straight North of Walnut Creek on an Emerald Shiner. I have no idea what is going on with the lake this year. The Perch seem to be abundant but the Walleye are evasive. I haven’t seen it this bad in quite some time. I have only heard of a couple boats limiting on Walleye and that was a while ago. No one seems to be able to find them. I know some of the Charters are doing good but regular fishermen are not doing so well. If you came in with more than five Walleye you are doing good. The water temperature is only 71 degrees still. The lake is supposed to have 4-6 ft waves tomorrow (Saturday) and then 2-4 ft waves on Sunday so this weekend is not going to be very nice. Also, there is a 80 percent chance of Thunderstorms.
