Steelhead Fishing Picking Up 10/10/2008

STEELHEAD:

This is “What is Happening at Walnut Creek” now. The boats are out front trolling at the mouth of the Creeks.

Here is Jacob Manley all the way from Frederick, MD. with his Angler Award sized Steelhead. It was 8 pounds exactly and was 27 ½ inches long with a girth of 16 inches. He caught it on the North channel wall of Walnut Creek on a quarter ounce KO Wobbler. The color was Silver with a Blue stripe.

The fishermen are out fishing into the lake from the stone jetties out front of Walnut Creek.

They are fishing on the south side of the channel.

They are just about shoulder to shoulder on the north side of the channel.

Please make sure you pull your lines as the boats go out and come in from the lake. It can be dangerous for them if they get line wrapped on their props which can break a seal. They will be at the mercy of the Lake if they break down.
