One Fish and Its A Steelhead 09/18/2008

STEELHEAD:

Mary Lynn Ecker of Erie, PA, brought in a nice male Steelhead for Angler Award. He weighed in at 10 pounds 8 ounces and was 31 inches long with a girth of 17 ¼ inches. She caught him in Walnut Creek on the South side of the channel. He was caught on a white jig.

WALLEYE & PERCH:

The Walleye have started becoming hard to find. Most guys are trolling from straight out of Walnut in around 65-70 ft of water and trolling West to Elk Creek.

The Perch are still out Northwest of Walnut Creek in about 55-60 ft of water. I am told there is also a school out off Trout Run and the clay banks.

WALNUT CREEK:
The creek is low and clear. There has been no rain for a while even though I have been told that people are thinking we got rain with the winds. We didn’t get much. The water temperature is 69 degrees.
