Walnut Creek Administration building and restrooms will be open for the season this Saturday, May 3, 2008. I will be here on Friday from 7 AM till 5:30 PM then on Saturday we will be starting our regular seasonal hours. Our regular seasonal hours are: Mon - Thurs ... 8 AM till 6:30 PM
Fri - Sat...... 6 AM till 10 PM
Sundays........ 6 AM till 8 PM The docks and launch ramps are in and the courtesy docks will go in this week. Small Mouth are the fish being caught right now. A couple boaters went out and had some luck fishing for them. The limit is (1) fish and (20") is the size limit. No one has found the Perch yet on this side. I hear over at the Peninsula they are doing good though. Of course I haven't had any boats go out looking for them yet on this side of Erie so once the boat traffic picks up I am sure they will be found. They are still (30) creek limit and there is no size limit. Walleye season starts on Saturday also. The season right now is "closed". The limit for them hasn't changed any. It is still (6) fish and (15") is the smallest size limit. Lower Elk Creek and Crooked Creek are being stocked tomorrow. If you would like to help stock they are meeting at 9:45 AM at the Fairview Hatchery. It is located on Rt. 5, West of Avonia Rd.
