Beginning of season at Walnut Creek 04/18/2008

STEELHEAD:

Eleven year old Nathaniel Kightlinger brought this male Steelhead in for his First Fish Award. It weighed 5 pounds 1 ounce and was 23 Ύ inches long with a 14 inch girth. He caught it on the east side of town at Glinado Center in Harborcreek, PA using a white wax worm.

MARINA:

The Marina has the two main launch ramps and one end ramp in. The railings on the main ramps are now lower than previous and also closer to the edges of the ramps.

There are angled tips also so boaters won’t bang into the end when coming in off the lake.

The channel is in the process of being dredged. The east side is done and the west side is half way done. It should be finished by next week.

The office is open on Friday, Saturdays, and Sundays until May 3. Then we start our 7 day work schedule. The hours will be the same as previous years.

Right now the hours are Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays - 7:00 to 5:30 pm.

HOURS Beginning May 3:

Friday and Saturday – 6 am – 10 pm
Sunday – 6 am – 8 pm
Monday thru Thursday – 8 am – 6:30 pm

Welcome back and have a good fishing season.
