Four Smallmouth Bass over 20 inches May 21 2004 Friday early morning the sky was full of lightning and heavy rain. After the rain passed headed for Shades Beach. Fog was heavy and a little bird liked our boat for a fog layover. Landing on Tal's hat and friendly enough to get real close.
Birdie brought Tal good fortune with a 20.75 inch 6 pound Smallmouth Bass. Dancing on the water and power dives to the bottom makes smallmouth full to catch.
Somebody on the boat said it might be a Chestnut-side Warbler. If anybody can second that or knows email Ron
Worked our way east to the dog house where chip pulled in a nice 20 inch.
Around 1:30 the action heated up with steady good size fish on. Captain pulled in a 20.25 inch smallie.
Next cast Back to Back smallies over 20 inches. That make two days in a row this has happen for the captain. Fog remained most of the day. Action was best in 14 to 22 feet all day. Golden Shiners drifted was the bait and method.
