Perch, Steelhead and Walleye - Sunday 09/14/03

Perch, Steelhead and Walleye - Sunday 09/14/03

The perch action has been great. Fish were in 51 feet north west of Walnut Creek this morning and the action was excellent for those keeping there line on the bottom. Near 80 came quickly.

After near filling the cooler with yellow perch. Pulled the anchor and headed to the 310 area where the action was hot for steelhead and walleye in 70 to 74 feet. First pass got us a walleye and a couple steelhead on crawler harnesses. Lost a couple on the second pass and landed a couple more walleye and steelies on crankbaits. The steelie sure let you know when they are on the line. Jumping and stripping the line is the norm for those tackle busting fish. The wind began building around noon and it also came time to close the cooler for the day and head for shore.

Other boats were also doing well.
