Walleye fishing Saturday 6/28/03 - The groom's Day

The morning southwest wind was great for drifting. Started the drift in 52 feet off Elk Creek. The group consisted of the groom, Tom and his wedding party. Tom set his line and had the first high fish before the hole group was in the water.

First pass ended in 68 feet with a good many perch caught and some nice size walleye all on crawler harnesses.

The trip was just a half day with a late start putting the second pass at mid morning. Action was slow with just perch continuing to be caught and one walleye deep. At the end of the drift/troll pass in 63 feet the wind was dead but the rods were bending. Walleye doubles then a triple as the fish were high and low here making for some great action.

Both good eaters an large walleye filled the cooler all caught on crawler harnesses. The evening feast was now in the cooler

Great group!
