Joe's computer went down from a triple hit of viruses. He should be back online next week.

All spring stockings have been completed, and because of the high water
we had in late April and early May, there are exceptional numbers of
trout still in all the streams, especially the larger ones, like Sugar,
Sandy, Oil Creek and East Sandy. Caddis flies of various descriptions
are working well at times for Fly Fishermen, and Bait Anglers are doing
well with powerbait, live or salted minnows and red worms. Silver and
black Rapala's are producing some larger Trout in Oil creek, and the
Panfishing is picking up at Justus and Kahle Lakes.

French Creek and the Allegheny River water levels are both on the drop,
and the slight discoloration that remains should help the walleye
fishing pick up soon. Try larger baitfish for larger fish, and a
sensitive rod tip is always a big help.
