| Me and dad put the boat in at about 10:30. We used almost everything in the tacklebox from plastic worms, spinners, spinnerbaits, shallow running plugs, and live bait looking for bass and crappie. We mostly concentrated our efforts toward the coves and submerged logs and stumps. The fish however were a bit to finicky I guess so about 10:30 we went up and drifted the dam about 40 feet out. We nearing the end of the drift, about 30 feet from shore, when the 15 inch walleye took my chartruese Erie Dearie baited with a nightcrawler. Dad was using a fuzzy weighted jig to look for the walleye but we think he wasn't getting the proper depth. I caught the fish at a depth of 15 feet. It tasted good!!! |
