: FISH CONSUMPTION ADVISORY
: NOT REQUIRED FOR HUNTSDALE HATCHERY TROUT

: Latest tests by the Department of Environmental Protection reveal that the
: trout stocked from the Huntsdale hatchery will not require a consumption
: advisory. None of those fish were stocked in NW Pennsylvania waters. Levels
: found fell below any of the set standards for PCB's.

: DEP Acting Deputy Secretary for Water Management, Robert Yowell said
: "According to our lab results, the fish coming from the hatchery are safe for
: anglers to eat." Stocking efforts, which were put on hold until lab results
: were conclusive, have resumed.

: Anyone with any lingering concerns may wish to limit their consumption of
: trout to one meal / week (52 per year) ... A meal consisting of 1/2 pound of
: trout fillets or approximately 2 average sized stocked trout.
