We started fishing at Conneaut at 0630 on Monday hoping to get in to the walleyes. We did not find any so switched to bass fishing instead. We (the son and I) had a new weedless lure made by Rapala called a "weedless minnow spoon" RMS-6RT. It is colored vaguely like a Johhny Darter. It produced a couple of very nice Bass and one much larger fish that was not identified because I did not set the hook correctly. It is my opinion that Conneaut holds a lot of promise but I myself am still learning how to fish it. |
