WCO Weekly Outdoor Report

Walleye remain in small pockets … best locations producing limits are at '883
& 400 (62' to 75' just east of Walnut Creek) using purple or copper worm
harnesses off of the downriggers or in the second trench off of Elk Creek.
Both locations seem to be sensitive to the time of day & weather patterns as
the fish will suddenly just shut off.

Steelhead are being taken using spoons. An 18# monster was brought into
Walnut which measured 31" with a 22.5" girth. The current State Record for
steelhead is 19# 2 oz.

Limited success is being had off of the wall at Walnut Access Area. Usually
about 12-15 anglers are trying their luck during the day. Occasional jacks
are picked up with increased success immediately following a rain.
