Northwestern Sportsmen's Club located on Rt 6N one mile south of I-90's Exit
1 will be hosting a Personal Watercraft Equivalency Exam on April 2nd at 6
PM. Registration for the course may be made at M&M Bait Store located on
Nash Road in Springfield or by calling them at 922-7447

Walnut Creek Boat Basin has been blocked off and currently being pumped out
for dredging. A new paved area is being constructed to the west of the
traffic circle north of the marina

Stonefly Nymphs have been working on the tribs for Steelhead. Pockets are
holding from 1-5 fish throughout Elk Creek from the mouth to I-79 at McKean
& there are a nice scattering of fish on Walnut from the mouth all the way to
behind the movie theater at Millcreek Mall.

Low water conditions should drive fish out from the weed cover and
concentrate them in the deeper water. Look for pockets of deeper water at
the head of the Bay & in the lagoons for some dynamic fishing the next couple
weeks.

Scattered success on Yellow Perch is occurring at Marina Lake on Presque Isle
Park depending on time of day & weather conditions. "Keepers" are being
caught though.
