The Erie Fishing & Hunting Outdoor Expo held at Family First Fun Park this
year was the biggest ever both in attendance and the number of exhibitors.
Plans are for it to be expanded next year to even bigger. The Fish & Boat
Commission display drew large crowds with their snake exhibit. Kids of all
ages were fascinated by the reptiles.
...
Walnut Creek continues to produce fish but expect crowded conditions
...
A large number of fish are present at the Elk Creek Access (west side) but
the scattered fish upstream provide lots of elbow room like this angler had
above Legion Park
...

Stateline Ponds offer a nice alternative for Panfish & Bass for the family.
A cartop boat makes for a pleasurable day. Be sure to "wear" your life
jacket in cold water boat outings.
...
Steelhead Smolts (120,000+) have been released on Elk Creek by the swinging
bridge at Sterrettania. Releases have also occured at Raccoon Park & the
Ables Road Bridge on Crooked Creek. It is best not to fish around these bait
stealers as a high degree of hooking mortality only hurts future runs of fish.
