COHO SALMON:

Sunday night a woman came in with her first fish. It was a Coho Salmon caught up at the Stop Sign hole on Walnut Creek. She brought it in and Law Enforcement issued her an Angler Award for it. It was 14 pounds 11 ounces, 37 inches long and had a girth of 20 ¾ inches. We didn’t get her name or where she is from but what a catch.

MARINA OPEN – FIRST FISH CAUGHT:

John Paulick of Charleroi, Pa brought in the first fish caught after the Basin opened. It was a Steelhead, 2 pounds 5 ounces, 20 ½ inches long, 9 ½ inch girth. He caught it on a Black Jig off the North side of the Basin.

STEELHEAD:

Bruce Roland of Erie, PA brought in a 13 pound 9 ½ ounce Steelhead. It was 30 ½ inches long and had a girth of 20 inches. He caught it while standing in the lake at the mouth of Walnut Creek. It was caught on a Black Jig.

WALNUT CREEK:

There are more fish out in the lake waiting to come in. On the channel wall, fishing into the creek, there were at least 40 fish caught in a couple hours. They are staging so all we need is some rain for them to come in again. Up in the creek they are picking at them but the stream is low and clear. We are supposed to get some rain the beginning of next week so if that happens Wednesday should be pretty good fishing.

MEMORIAL WALL:

The pavers are still available for Christmas presents. If you know someone who loves the lake or the sunsets you can have them immortalized by getting them a paver personalized just for them.
