WALLEYE:

Here is eleven year old Chase Jarzenski of Oil City, PA who brought in a 7 pound 10 ounce Walleye for Angler Award. It was 28 ¾ inches long and had a girth of 15 ¾ inches. He caught it out in 52 ft of water straight out of Walnut Creek on a Black/Purple worm harness.

Thirteen year old Caitlin Robbins of Jamestown, PA brought in a 7 pound 4 ounce Walleye. It was 29 inches long and had a girth of 16 inches. She caught it out in 72 ft of water a little West of Walnut Creek on a Yellow worm harness.

Thirteen year old Ryan Rogers of Knox, Pa brought in a 9 pound 5 ounce Walleye for Angler Award. It was 30 inches long and had a girth of 17 ¼ inches. He was out in 52 ft of water a little East of Walnut Creek when he caught it. Watermelon worm harness was the bait.

The Walleye seem to be mostly out in the First Trench. I have had also some people catching some Steelhead out there too.

The Perch are not coming as we usually see them. It seems when they start schooling up we get a bad front come through and it scatters them. Some boats are limiting though out in the 55 ft of water area. Just not everyone like we are used to.

WEATHER

The weather this weekend is not supposed to be very nice. They are calling for:

Saturday – E / 10-20 k becoming S at 5-15k/ 3-5 ft waves subsiding to 1-3 ft later. High of 80 degrees.

Sunday – SW / 5-15k / 1-3 ft subsiding to 2 ft or less. High of 84 degrees.

The water temperature is 79 degrees.

MEMORIAL/RECOGNITION WALL

4"x8" and 8"x8" granite pavers are still available for purchase. For more information about the wall and pavers, the flyers are available in the lobby of the Walnut Creek Administration building.

Think about getting one for a Birthday or an Anniversary gift for your loved ones. Also, a great memorial and a way to give tribute for someone who has passed away and loved Walnut Creek fishing.
