WALLEYE: Here is eleven year old Chase Jarzenski of Oil City, PA who brought in a 7 pound 10 ounce Walleye for Angler Award. It was 28 ¾ inches long and had a girth of 15 ¾ inches. He caught it out in 52 ft of water straight out of Walnut Creek on a Black/Purple worm harness. |
Thirteen year old Caitlin Robbins of Jamestown, PA brought in a 7 pound 4 ounce Walleye. It was 29 inches long and had a girth of 16 inches. She caught it out in 72 ft of water a little West of Walnut Creek on a Yellow worm harness. |
Thirteen year old Ryan Rogers of Knox, Pa brought in a 9 pound 5 ounce Walleye for Angler Award. It was 30 inches long and had a girth of 17 ¼ inches. He was out in 52 ft of water a little East of Walnut Creek when he caught it. Watermelon worm harness was the bait. The Walleye seem to be mostly out in the First Trench. I have had also some people catching some Steelhead out there too. The weather this weekend is not supposed to be very nice. They are calling for: Friday – 40 % chance of showers. NE / 15 -25K / 4-6 ft waves. High of 78 degrees. Saturday – E / 10-20 k becoming S at 5-15k/ 3-5 ft waves subsiding to 1-3 ft later. High of 80 degrees. Sunday – SW / 5-15k / 1-3 ft subsiding to 2 ft or less. High of 84 degrees. The water temperature is 79 degrees.
