PERCH:

Eleven year old Dakota Smith and his sister thirteen year old Tori of Rural Valley, PA brought in a load of Perch of which two made Junior Angler. Dakota’s was 1 pound 3 ½ ounces, 13 ½ inches long with a girth of 9 ½ inches. Tori’s was 1 pound ½ ounce, 12 ¾ inches long with a girth of 9 inches. They were out in 60 ft of water a little West of Walnut Creek. They also were using Golden Shiners.

STEEL HEAD:

Twelve year old Jason Steiner of Jefferson Hills, PA brought in the first Steelhead to get weighed by me for Junior Angler Award this year. It weighed 10 pounds 2 ½ ounces and was 31 ¼ inches long with a girth of 16 ¼ inches. He caught it straight out of Walnut Creek in 75 ft of water on a Dream Weaver spoon. The color was Silver/Green.

The lake this week has not been very good. Mostly 3-4 ft waves. Friday it is supposed to be 1-3 ft but then back up to 2-4 ft for Saturday and 3-5 ft for Sunday. Now, we all know that the weather isn’t always right so this is just an assumption. Cleveland updates the weather page four times a day: 4 AM, 10 AM, 4 PM and 10 PM.
