PERCH:

The Perch seem to be still in close. Most everyone I have talked to say they are getting them in between 32-44 ft of water.

Eleven year old Dylan Rybarick of Templeton, PA and eleven year old Dakota Smith of Rural Valley brought in their Angler Award sized Perch. Dylan’s was 1 lb ½ ounce, 13 ¼ inches long and had a girth of 9 ¼ inches. Dakota’s was 14 ounces, 12 ½ inches long and had a girth of 9 inches. They caught them out in 44 ft of water between Trout and Walnut Creek on Emerald Shiners. The boat they were in caught two limits.

WALLEYE:

Walleye are right out there with the Perch. Most boaters are going out off Trout Run and that is where most of the fish are being caught. The water temperature yesterday, Wednesday, was 65 degrees. Today it is 55 degrees. It seems to go up and then down every week.

Wayne Cunningham of Erie brought in an 11 pound 4 ounce Walleye for Angler Award. It was 30 ½ inches long and had a girth of 17 ¼ inches. He caught it out in 35 ft of water off Trout Run using Stick bait. His color was Purple.

John Brogley (Bronco) of Coraopolis, PA came in with an 11 pound 2 ounce Walleye. It was 30 inches long and had a girth of 19 ½ inches. He caught it out off Trout Run in 37 ft of water on a Bango Plug. His color was Black/Silver.

BOATING:

Don't forget to have your boat trailer inspected. Law Enforcement will be checking randomly for uninspected boat trailers. Also, make sure to watch all the signs on the property. Stop signs, Do Not Enter sign etc..
