STEELHEAD:

Paul Durci of Sarver, PA brought in this nice sized male Steelhead. It was 15 pounds 7 ounces, 32 inches long and had a girth of 21 inches. He caught it at 20 mile and brought it all the way here so it most likely was even heavier. He caught it on a Sucker Spawn.

Thirteen year old Jeramey Kehler came all the way from Reading PA for an educational trip. He caught this 8 pound 13 ½ ounce Steelhead for Angler Award. It was 26 ½ inches long and had a girth of 17 ½ inches. He caught it at the Stop Sign hole on Walnut Creek using a Sucker Spawn. The color for him was White/blue.

Paul Lorigan of Oil City, PA brought in an 11 pound 2 ½ ounce female. She was 29 inches long and had a girth of 17 ½ inches. He caught her on the Bin wall at Walnut Creek using a K-O Wobbler. His color was Green/Silver.

Robert Stevens of Bethel Park, PA brought in his Steelhead for Angler Award. It was 11 pounds 6 ½ ounces and was 31 ½ inches long with a girth of 17 ½ inches. He caught it on his fly rod which he only started using two years ago. He caught it at the Stop Sign hole on a Sucker Spawn also but his color was Pink.

The water so far this year has been very low. It seems the only time anyone is catching anything is after a rain which we have only had three rains so far this season. The fish seem to know how much is coming and when they come in they shoot all the way up as far as they can go. They don’t bother stopping at the mouth.

Most of the fish getting caught are in the project waters and up above the Manchester Bridge. Thursday, Nov. 18, seemed to be a productive day. I had a few fish in the 8 & 9 pound range come in and also a couple 6 & 7 pounders.

WALNUT CREEK END OF SEASON:

Our office will be open the regular hours until December 3. Beginning December 4 thru December 23, the office will be open ONLY on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 7 AM till 5:30 PM.
