After nearly a week of windy weather Saturday came as a quiet but cool day. The water temps have dropped to 61 at the surface and the walleyes have disbused up and down the water column. After a few hours of watching the screen and seeing fish but not catching fish, like everyone else. They seemed to try and school back up and the bite was on. We also found some willing steelhead which just made the whole day for my crew. With the steelhead doing their acrobatic jumps and the big walleye deciding that they did not like the site of our boat it made for a very nice day on the water. We haven't changed our set up or our depths to run our lures. But a big difference was that we started using our renosky's lures these seemed to add to the hit frequency. Even with the lake a little on the murky side we still had to keep the baits away from the boat. Most of our fish were on the Planer boards. The colors did not seem to make much of oa difference although purple with anything else won out for totals. The schools are still between 70' and 80' FOW and I believe they will start to move with the weather cooling as it is. This is September and the weather is changing to the cooler side of things. WE will be targeting the steehead now through the end of the season so if your interested in some great steelhead action don't hesitate to give us a call for a fun trip.

Good Luck to All
