WALLEYE:

Bill Freshwater of Valencia, Pa brought this nice 8 pound 6 ounce Walleye in for Angler Award. It was 31 inches long and had a girth of 16 inches. He caught it out in 65 ft of water eight miles straight out of Walnut Creek on an Experimental Clown from House of Lures. Colors: Red/Black/Chartreuse.

Eight year old Christopher Malicki of Pittsburgh, PA brought in this 8 pound 1 ½ ounce, 27 ½ inches long and a girth of 17 inches. He caught it out in 64 ft of water Northeast of Walnut Creek on a purple Renowski.

Here is Eleven year old Zoe Chaney of Erie, PA with her 8 pound 3 ½ ounce Walleye. It was 28 inches long and had a girth of 16 ½ inches and her ten year old sister Olivia Chaney with her 6 pound ½ ounce Walleye. Hers was 25 ¼ inches long and 15 ½ inches for the girth. They caught them both out in 65 ft of water straight out of Walnut Creek on worm harnesses. The color was Green.

Ron Milavec of Pittsburgh (Eyes of Plenty) brought in his Angler Award Walleye. It was 8 pounds 12 ½ ounces, 31 inches long and had a girth of 16 ¼ inches. He caught it straight out of Walnut Creek in 58 ft of water on a Black/Purple worm harness.

Ken Tomajko and Jeneen Gold of Jeannette Pa brought these ones in. His was 8 pounds 4 ounces, 28 ½ inches long and a 16 ½ inch girth. Hers was 8 pounds 3 ounces, 28 inches long and a 16 ½ inch girth. They caught them straight out of Walnut Creek in 77 ft of water on a “Lights Out” Rapela.

YELLOW PERCH:

Here are twelve year old girls who came in with their Angler Award sized Perch. Left is Brook Petrillo with her 1 pound 1 ounce Perch. It was 12 ½ inch long and had a girth of 9 ½ inches.

Middle is Danielle Paskovitch with her 15 ounce Perch. It was 11 ½ inches long and had a girth of 8 ½ inches.

Right girl is Lauren Petrillo. She didn’t get any Angler Award sized fish but she was the only one to get three at a time on. They caught them out in 55 ft of water between Trout Run and Godfrey on Golden Shiners. The girls have been friends since the age of three.

The fishing just started picking up today. I guess on Monday and Tuesday they were getting Perch pretty good finally and the Walleye started biting a couple weeks ago. Wednesday and yesterday were not too nice out on the water with 3-5 ft waves so not too many people went out. Today the lot was full and as you can see they were catching fish.

The rest of the weekend and into next week is supposed to be nice with the lake at only 1-2 ft. If it goes as Cleveland predicts.
