The week has been fantastic with many good size walleye.

Wednesday the 20th walleye seamed to be everywhere in the 1st trench. Catching 44 to put 14 in the cooler was exhausting. Many small walleye 14.5 to 16 inches were returned to grow up for next year.

Monday’s action was the same with 35 caught to make a limit of 16. Worm harnesses used as the bait of choice for both angler and fish.

Everyday, a 9+ pound walleye makes the cooler along with a good many nice size perch.

The 14th, a near 7 pound brown trout gave Chauna quite a battle.

The first trench from north of Walnut Creek to the Ohio line has been good. Walleye seem to be 35 to 50 feet down in 60 to 75 foot depth.

Perch are also at the same depth and hard to find anywhere on the bottom. Nothing like last years great fishing.
