: I just came back from Eire this weekend from a meet the parents weekend. I was in shock by the number of steel head trout that I spotted on a branch of elk creek on my girlfriend’s parents property. I am an avid saltwater fly fisherman that moved up to Ohio from Florida for career reasons. I am looking for any insight on how to land one of these monsters on my next trip up to Erie over the Easter weekend. I have a 8-9wt rod with floating line. I am very new to the world of trout fishing. Any help would be a benefit to me.
: Thanks,
: Ed

I do not fish with a fly rod but I can give you a sight that ypu can ask people about it. Go to fisherie.com and ask the people on the discusion board. Hope this will help you out. Fishing for steelhead can be very enjoyable and I hope you have some success. During Easter should be a good time to fish for them.
