Walleye Fishing Report for Maumee and Sandusky Rivers May 7, 2003 Maumee River - 56°F, water level is extremely high (flood stage) Due to the high water level, there are very few anglers and nothing is being caught. Outlook should improve when the water level drops. Sandusky River - 59°F, water level is high. Anglers are catching some white bass (12”-16”) using 1/64 – 1/32 oz. jigs (chartreuse) tipped with minnows fished 3’ under a bobber or off of the bottom. Best location is on the west wall of downtown Fremont. Outlook should improve when the water level drops.
