Just got off the river. The fishing was a 7 out of 10. It is now worth your time to get down there when the fishing is good. The water is still high, just fish at White Street or Orleans or Buttonwood. Started to get somewhat crowded at the end of the day. we were using the usual 1/4 oz carolina rig with floater at the end. Same colors, pink, chartreuse, and white. Saw something amazing today, one idiot stepped out of the water with a stringer full of fish - and I mean full! He had 8 walleye in his possession! TOTALLY ILLEGAL. The limit is 4. The weather prediction looks great and water levels should be optimum by Sunday or Monday. Prime time - or close to it - is upon us for this run. |
