March 29, 2002 Maumee River – 40 1/2 degrees, water level is low and clear. Anglers are catching an occasional walleye. The best locations are at Fort Meigs and from Bluegrass Island upstream to Jerome Road. Anglers are using floating jig heads with twister tails – chartreuse & florescent orange. The outlook should improve with the warmer temperatures and forecasted rain. Sandusky River - 37 degrees, water is low, but rising. Anglers are catching a few walleye (more fish are being seen as the water rises). Anglers are using florescent orange jigs.
