Anglers are doing well trolling deep diving stick baits near 1.2 to 1.8 mph. Darker colors have been producing best 40-80 feet back, but longer lines have been catching some fish. Action has been the best near adjacent to the Western Basin reef complex, north of Kelleys Island in 35-40 feet of water, and areas 30-40 feet deep from Huron to Lorain. Anglers fishing hair jigs continue to produce in water 8-20 feet deep, however the bite is slowing down as the water warms. Purple and green have been the best colors.
Anglers are encouraged to always wear a U.S. Coast Guard-approved personal flotation device while on the water.
