ODNR Lake Erie Fishing Report April 14, 2019 Walleye
Where: Despite inconsistent weather and muddy water, anglers are still having success. Anglers continue to find fish near reef complex in the western basin, as well as near the islands and east to Vermilion. Fish are still being taken on hair jigs and blade baits; however, anglers trolling seem to be catching most of the fish. Anglers trolling are having success using deep diving crankbaits and stickbaits, 80-120 feet back without snap weights. Mayfly rigs and harnesses have begun taking some fish as well.
