ODNR Fishing Report for 02/24/2009: Western Basin, OH,

There has been very little reported fishing activity on Lake Erie over the past week (week of 2/16). Within the next month early spring open water fishing will get started. Jig fishermen typically have success in historical spawning and staging areas such as the Camp Perry reefs, Maumee Bay, the Bass Islands, and various nearshore areas from Toledo to Cedar Point. Early trollers will have success fishing the open water around the Camp Perry reef complex and the Bass Islands.
