| Hello and how is everyone? Maumme River Outfitters spent the winter months preparing for the big run that is expected this year. Maumee River Outfitters builds its own custom IM-7 fishing rods built specifically for the river run. They are epoxied, wrapped, and gloss coated right here in Maumee OH. The blank chosen provides for a stiff backbone but still but still super sensitive fast action tip for those light biting walleyes. We prefer a 6'6" setup. The 2003 fishing poetntial should be the best in years if you are looking for numbers. Ohio DNR reports that the 11 and 12" fish we caught all summer in the western Basin (NOT the river) will be first year spawners and could lead to high catch ratios. |
