Walleye Most walleye effort over the past week has been from Huron to Vermilion or on Kelleys Island shoal and Gull Island shoal. The average size has improved with occasional Fish Ohio walleye being caught. Spoons or crawler harnesses trolled deep with dipsy divers, jet divers or downriggers have produced the most consistent catches, while crankbaits have produced some of the larger fish. On the shoals fish have also been caught by drifting crawler harnesses or casting weight forward spinners. Pier fishing at night is improving with the Huron and Lakeside piers producing the most fish. The Catawba State Park and Mazurik ramp piers have also produced a few fish. Yellow Perch
