Perch are biteing well about a mile north of the Lighthouse in 42 feet of water. Nice size but no jumbos yet. The Black River is one of the most overlooked rivers for Steelhead. The river was full of steelhead last year and this spring. My buddy did an experiment. He kept minnows from last year in a plastic bag with pickiling salt (No Iodine.)in the refrigerator. They caught Perch as well as fresh minnows. Minnows dried in the refridgerator no salt looked good but did not work.
