: Just moved from the West and am looking for good stream fly fishing. Fished the rocky river last winter without seeing personally or anyone around me catch a steelhead. Are there more fruitful places on the east, please help one of the major things I miss about the West is fishing. Also are there any ponds or secluded lakes that produce large mouth bass. Thanks

If you want aesthetics forget Ohio. If you like drifting a nymph over a bumper, tire, or pitched 6 iron than Ohio might gave you thrill.

Actually I will take that back in regards to the Mad River in sections. but for a 200 mile drive you can get multiple stream choices in PA.

Take your vacation and head to Montana, Wyoming or Colorado. These guys that flyfish around here have never had a stream to themselves or the honor of catching a native fish.

Good luck and keep your principals high.
