Walleye fishing; Bass fishing; Trout fishing; Salmon fishing; Perch fishing or just plain fun fishing. Erie, PA can be your link to the "Walleye Capital of the World" Lake Erie. Lake Erie is alive and well with plenty of entertainment for the entire family.

Presque Isle Bay offers many angling possibilities. There is a vast amount of places for the shore fishermen to have access to the water. Some popular places are West Pier area, Misery Bay, Horse Shoe Pond and the north and south side of the channel.

The bay contains many different species of fish that remain in the bay or migrate through it at various times of the year. The majority of the fish targeted are perch, walleye, large and small mouth bass, crappies, bluegill, burbot, northern pike, musky, salmon and trout

The bay is a favorite spot for boaters. Sheltered from the weather affects of the a rough Lake Erie, fishermen can hide from the wind in many places no matter what the direction. Access to Lake Erie is provided by the shipping channel on the east side.

Boat Launch Ramps can be found all over the bay. The largest ones are West Pier in the bay and Lampe just outside the bay on the east side south of the shipping channel. Both have good parking and nice ramps. Lampe has rest rooms and is the safest with security people.
