Drifters are using mayfly rigs or worm harnesses with bottom bouncers, while trollers are using worm harnesses, jet or dipsy divers and spoons, or crankbaits.
The best yellow perch fishing in the western basin has been off of Lakeside in 24’ of water, 1 mile east of the Marblehead lighthouse, and around “D” can of the Camp Perry firing range. Perch spreaders with shiners fished near the bottom produce the most fish.
