*Lake Erie surface temperatures are around 40 degrees. Be sure to check the
latest marine forecast for up-to-date lake conditions.*

Recent weather conditions have limited fishing opportunities.

Walleye:
Walleye continued to be caught between Huron and Vermilion, including the
Ruggles Reef area, when conditions allowed until Thanksgiving. Strong winds
after Thanksgiving have limited fishing. Walleye from 18" to over 30" were
caught on crankbaits trolled behind planer boards.

Steelhead:
The rivers have been high and muddy after rains over the past week. Fishing
should improve as the rivers stabilize. Check with local bait shops for
up-to-date river conditions.
