Smallmouth - Walleye - Yellow Perch - Conneaut Ohio

Fished for smallies off Conneaut on Friday. The first fish came quick as we started to drift for smallmouth bass.

Moments later a six pounder was on board. The fish were hitting best 20 to 15 feet. Water temperature was 50 degrees and the wind was out of the north. Chilly!

Doubles could be found on the better rock piles.

Even a nice walleye made the cooler along with some yellow perch.

The smallmouth continued to bite most of the day. A lot of gobies were caught. All fish were caught on golden shiners fished near the bottom. The fighting action of a smallmouth is pound for pound one of the best action that can be found in Lake Erie.
