Fishing Report by Captain Ron Rusch

Walleye and Perch 8/30/03

Walleye continue to be caught along the south side of the first trench. The action has been slower with the changing weather patterns of lately. Most of the walleye caught now are right in or around the perch packs. Best thing is to find a large school of perch were nobody is fishing. Perch are very abundant now and also add to the walleye catch.

Smallmouth and Steelhead are also caught on occasion on the south side of the first trench right in the perch packs.

The nearshore Walleye have been few but a small numbers of Steelhead have begun to move in to the shallow water.
